Please note, this tier does not include any substantive legal work.  These tasks individually take an hour or less on average and include tasks such as: 

  • Meeting & appointment scheduling 
  • Client/correspondence follow up such as thank you notes, simple response letters and inquiry responses
  • Travel Arrangements
  • Expense Reports
  • Time entry
  • Basic reports such as weekly tasks, sales and deliverables
  • Basic spreadsheets
  • Basic database maintenance
  • Email management, filtering and routing
  • Online Meeting management including scheduling and meeting set up
  • Electronic document management/organization
  • Simple presentations
  • Internet research
  • Mail merges
  • Transcription

These tasks individually take 3 hours or less on average and include such tasks as: 

  • Bar membership maintenance
  • Vendor contract review and RFPs
  • Vendor Coordination for events (does not include on site event coordination)
  • Complex word processing such as legal notice letters and responses in correspondence
  • Complex database management such as discovery database management, etc.
  • Drafting Pleadings, including Tables of Authorities and Tables of Contents
  • Drafting Discovery and responses
  • Trial and Witness Binder materials
  • Electronic Exhibit preparation
  • Docketing
  • Complex presentations involving imbedded document links, videos, and spreadsheets

These tasks vary in complexity and therefore time requirement and include such tasks as:

  • EDIS/ECF Filing

  • Patent Searches
  • Definition in Trade searches
  • Caselaw research
  • Foreign language research (Russian) and light translation
  • Application filing – copyright, patent, Trademark
  • Maintenance fees

Legal Operations

  • Procedural and Process development
  • Budget Reconciliation and reporting
  • Complex spreadsheets such as multi sheet budgets and cross sheet formulas
  • Case Management system (CMS)  administration and development
  • Invoice processing with CMS (including Cleo, MyCase, and LegalTracker)

Local event coordination or on-site office work

Includes trial paralegal work.

NOTE: Local office work and on-site services are available on a limited basis and by special arrangement; travel time and travel expenses will be billed.

Maryland Notary Public – including e-notary and remote notary.  Cost for Notary services: $4/original document stamped per Statute.
